The big move begins!
The first truck is showing up in Wisconsin to pick up a load of dry cows and heifers.

Pack your bags girls!
Here's our milk herd in Wisconsin going in for one of their last milkings. Mark stayed behind with the milk cows while I took the kids and went to Kansas. I made sure everything was ready for when the milk cows showed up.

See you in Kansas
Here's a load of our cattle heading out for the long trip to Kansas. It took 3 cattle trucks to get all of our animals moved. It was a 16 hour drive.

We've got the semi backed up to the house and are packing the household items.

After packing the house we moved the semi up to the farm and starting loading all of the shop items.

As you can see we crammed all sorts of stuff into the trailer. Besides the household items we had calf hutches, round bale rings, tools, shovels, pitchforks, nuts, bolts, ect....We packed the trailer right to the door and as high as we could go!

Unloading in Kansas
I finally made it to Kansas. Now the fun of unloading and getting things ready for the milk cows.

The milk cows are here.
Mark started milking late in the morning the day before. Immediately after milking the cows were put in the cattle trailer and headed out for Kansas. The driver drove straight through to our new farm. With leaving in the afternoon the cows were able to make the trip during the coolest parts of the day. They arrived the next day in Kansas where I was waiting for them. We unloaded the girls and let them get a good drink of water. Then with help from some great people we started milking. All the cows made it to Kansas in good shape. Phew!

Here I am, very tired but very happy that things have gone so well.

The last load.
The last thing to be delivered in Kansas was our machinery. On one load we managed to fit two tractors, one discbine, one brillion seeder, and a set of tractor duals.
